The first production range is toy marbles, slates and slate pencils on 01/30.

With the use of new techniques production of china tableware has started. The production range already contains more than 1,000 articles at this time.

As the material "porcelain" was very popular at that time the production range was increased by other categories like medallions, animal figurines and children figurines.

| 1935 |
The first M.I.Hummel figurines are produced. Sister Maria Innocentia Hummel herself and her order, the congregation of Franciscan nuns at Siessen, authorize Goebel to produce three-dimensional products from M.I.Hummel's paintings. The first 46 M.I.Hummel figurines are introduced at the Leipzig Spring Fair.

M.I.Hummel figurines are well accepted in the market and enjoy enormous popularity.

| 1939-1945 |
Due to National Socialist rule Goebel changed production to earthenware products for military use during the war. It is only allowed to produce M.I.Hummel figurines for export purposes to earn foreign exchange.

Sister Maria Innocentia Hummel succumbs to tuberculosis at the age of 37 on 6/11.

Favored by the monetary reform in 1948 the handcrafted children figurines from Rödental are among the most famous German products in America.

| 1950's |
In 1952 Franz met with Walt Disney. The meeting resulted in a successful line of figurines and collectibles based on the Disney animations and characters.
The partnership with the Disney Company still continues today.

| 1970-1985 |
In the early 70's the figurine range is considerably increased in the M.I.Hummel section as well as by new product lines. Now the Goebel trademark stands for a tasteful assortment of accessories made of porcelain, glass, cast iron, wood and other materials for the well-laid table, the kitchen and a comfortable home.

The "Goebel Collector's Club" is founded in North America. It is one of the first collectors clubs of this type worldwide. 100,000+ members join the club in this, its first year.

Due to a worldwide economic structural change and fast-moving market developments the company is newly organized. The survival strategy is shaped by a sensible concentration on the central business.

With the global interest in the Goebel Collectors Club, the name is changes to the M.I. Hummel Club and the club becomes internationally active.

Artis Orbis - The World's Art
Under this motto Goebel, for the first time, presented this collection, which included a selection of Picasso products, which was enthusiastically accepted in Germany and abroad.
Two years later the collection was increased by the "Masters Collection". Today this range includes many plates, pictures, cups, boxes and vases decorated with reproductions of famous painters' works - from impressionism to Art Nouveau.
Names of painters like Claude Monet, Auguste Renoir, Vincent van Gogh, Gustav Klimt, Alphonse Mucha and more. Artis Orbis is a collection of beautiful lifestyle home décor accessories.

W. Goebel Porzellanfabrik celebrates its 125th anniversary under the motto: "Bound to the past, ready for the present, creating the future".

Goebel products are now available at more than 11,000 specialist retailers in almost 100 countries of the world - from the North Cape to New Zealand, from Gibraltar to Moscow, in North and South America as well as on Barbados and the Canary Islands.
The Goebel product range now contains approx. 2,300 products.
In its branch Goebel belongs to the top 5 in the world and to the first 3 in Europe and is the undisputed market leader in Germany in the figurine segment.
